Mount Eyre Vineyards Art Prize
Closes on 17 May 2010 Mount Eyre Vineyards from The Hunter Valley NSW, in association with rex-livingston art dealer, Sydney, initiated the Mount Eyre Vineyards Art Prize in 2009. This unique partnership gives entrants the chance to win the first prize of $8000 and other prizes, exhibit their artwork in a respected commercial gallery and further, the potential for publishing the winning artwork on a wine label (If suitable) for a limited edition wine release made exclusively by Mount Eyre Vineyards.
The prize is open to painters, sculptors, photographers and artists working in new media and is not genre specific.
Prizes:
- Winner (acquisitive prize) - $8,000 and an opportunity to have the winning work on a label for a wine from the vineyard.
- Second Prize - $1,000
- People's Choice - $500
Entry fee for 2010: $35 for one, $60 for two entries.
Winner for 2010 announced: Thursday 24 June 2010.

The Continental Hotel Annual Art Prize
Closes on 16 May 2010 The Continental Hotel is proud to provide an exhibition space for artists locally and from further afield. We have been staging our annual art prize for 9 years with great assistance from local artist John Baird and take great care with providing the best service possible for our artists and customers. We are pleased to be able to provide an opportunity for many people to see art who may not normally venture into an art gallery. That is the beauty of being a hotel, we can combine our passion for art and culture with food and music.

Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize
Closes on 14 May 2010 Hosted by the South Australian Museum the Waterhouse Natural History art prize comes with total prizes valued at $114,500. The prize was established in 2003 and is named after the first curator of the South Australian Museum, Frederick Waterhouse.
Prizes
- First prize (acquisitive) receives $50,000
- the People's Choice prize is $5000.
The award has 3 categories - paintings, works on paper and sculpture (3D objects).
The winner of each category is awarded:
- 1st - $10,000
- 2nd - $5000
- 3rd - $2,500
The Waterhouse Youth Award is offering the following prizes to entrants aged betwee 16-25 :
- 1st prize - $4,000
- 2nd - $2,000
- 3rd - $1,000
Prize Winners are announced on 16 July 2010.
