Colin Dowser

I was first attracted to poetry at school, after studying 'Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard' by Thomas Grey.
About 20 years ago my wife Christine and I started a small poetry group with neighbours in Blackburn, a Melbourne suburb , and I have been writing poetry intermittently since then.
It was about that time that we bought 'Brigadoon' our property at Highlands and this has inspired some of my poetry. We have always enjoyed visiting Highlands and since my wife died late last year it has become a very special place for our family, because we have buried her ashes at Brigadoon.
I write purely for pleasure and have had nothing published
